Acne occurs when the pores in your skin are blocked with oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells that clog your pores. These skin cells, sebum (oily, waxy matter secreted from your glands), dead skin, and hair clump together to plug pores, causing an infection and resulting in inflammation, or a pimple. Acne is not discriminatory, and for most people, pimples and acne start to appear during puberty and last into the early 20s, and in more severe cases, even well into adulthood.request an appointment

Melanoma is one of the most dangerous forms of skin cancer and occurs when pigment-producing skin cells mutate and become cancerous. This form of skin cancer can develop anywhere on the body, and even begin in current moles that have become cancerous.request an appointment
Mole removals are common procedures and can be done to remove an unwanted mole for cosmetic reasons or to prevent a mole from developing into a more severe skin disease such as cancer.
Whether your reason for coming in for a consultation is for cosmetic or preventative purposes, we recommend first biopsying the mole to ensure the mole has not developed into a melanoma. Biopsies are performed in our office and then sent to a specialist or lab for testing. Sometimes, biopsies can result in the entire mole being removed.request an appointment

Chemical peels can be used to treat acne scars, uneven pigmentation, rough skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and sun spots/damage.
Dermal fillers are safe, gel-like injectable substances that smooth creases, fine lines, and wrinkles to rejuvenate your skin and add volume and fullness to your face. Dermal fillers can be used to enhance your lips, fill your cheeks, straighten out your jawline, soften grooves underneath your eyes, and many other cosmetic alterations to reduce the visible effects of aging. Dermal fillers do not fill in wrinkles but rather add volume to the desired area in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in your skin.request an appointment
Mohs Surgey (Basal Cell Cancer)
Also known as basal cell carcinoma, basal cell cancer (BCC) begins in the basal cells and is one of the most common types of skin cancer, affecting more than three million people every year. Basal cell cancer develops in areas of the skin such as the hands, forearms, neck, and forehead that have been unprotected and exposed to too much sun over the years.
Generally speaking, this type of cancer does not metastasize, but of course, treatment is encouraged as the infection can spread deeper into your skin as time goes on.request an appointment
There are three major types of skin cancer: basal cell cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Each of these skin cancers is primarily caused by too much exposure to the sun, but genetics may also play a role in increasing your risk for skin cancer.
Skin diseases and cancers are most effectively diagnosed through a biopsy that can be performed in our office and sent to a specialist or lab. For early-stage skin cancers, a biopsy or the surgical removal of the affected area can stop cancer from spreading.request an appointment
Microneedling is a minimally invasive facial treatment that encourages the natural rejuvenation and anti-aging processes of your skin while injecting serum to encourage collagen and elastin growth.
The advanced surgical device used ensures precise punctures with the necessary depth and speed needed to target collagen growth in specific areas of the face.
Microneedling is used to treat the appearance of:
- Acne scars
- Age spots
- Large pores
- Minor scars
- Stretch marks
Microneedling is best used on those with healthy skin and no current acne. The tiny, sterile needles puncture the skin repeatedly, triggering a healing response. Patients may return to activities the next day. Redness is the most common side effect. Dryness, stinging, and tingling are also reported.
Results peak around 4-6 months, with the newly built collagen lasting for years. Most patients come back every few months for microneedling sessions.
